SUMMARY:PrairieCare Fund Golf Tournament
DESCRIPTION:The statistics are staggering: \n\nSuicide remains the second leading cause of death among youth ages 10 to 25.\n1 in 5 adolescents will experience a severe episode of mental illness.\n42 percent of teens report persistent feelings of sadness or hopelessness.\n50 percent of all lifetime mental illnesses begin by age 14.\n\nAt PrairieCare Fund\, we believe every young person deserves access to mental health resources\, support and hope. Since 2016\, we’ve awarded $1.5 million in grants to Minnesota schools and nonprofits—impacting more than 100\,000 students and staff. Yet\, the need continues to grow. In 2024 alone\, over $5.7 million in requests for youth mental health programs went unfunded. \nYou can help bridge the gap. \nJoin us for the 12th Annual PrairieCare Fund Golf Tournament and be part of the solution. Your participation and support will help fund critical initiatives such as: \n\nMental health education for students and staff.\nSuicide prevention programs.\nEmbedding mental health curriculum into classrooms.\nCreating calm spaces in schools.\n\nAnd much more. \nWhether you’re a golfer\, sponsor or donor\, your involvement makes a difference. Together\, we can change the course of youth mental health in Minnesota—one swing at a time.
