DESCRIPTION:Jim Nissen\, Wildlife Tour Interpreter\, will lead our tour. We will view species of waterfowl\, raptors and shorebirds moving from their northern summer nesting areas to warmer southern wandering grounds. Spectacular tundra swans\, majestic eagles\, ducks and geese use this migration corridor. Stops along the route will extend into the La Crosse area. Bring your binoculars. Lunch will be at the Blue Moon Restaurant in Onalaska\, Wisconsin. Lunch includes: soup\, sandwich\, homemade potato chips and cookie. Other stops include LARK Toy Factory\, and the Onalaska Upper Mississippi River National Fish and Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center.

DESCRIPTION:The statistics are staggering: \n\nSuicide remains the second leading cause of death among youth ages 10 to 25.\n1 in 5 adolescents will experience a severe episode of mental illness.\n42 percent of teens report persistent feelings of sadness or hopelessness.\n50 percent of all lifetime mental illnesses begin by age 14.\n\nAt PrairieCare Fund\, we believe every young person deserves access to mental health resources\, support and hope. Since 2016\, we’ve awarded $1.5 million in grants to Minnesota schools and nonprofits—impacting more than 100\,000 students and staff. Yet\, the need continues to grow. In 2024 alone\, over $5.7 million in requests for youth mental health programs went unfunded. \nYou can help bridge the gap. \nJoin us for the 12th Annual PrairieCare Fund Golf Tournament and be part of the solution.
