SUMMARY:Dakotah! Sport and Fitness Turkey Trot
DESCRIPTION:This closed 5K course is run on the rolling hills of The Meadows at Mystic Lake Golf Course located in the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community in Prior Lake. This is a great course for the first-time 5K runner\, families and groups. \nNew this year: Event registration proceeds will support local food shelves. Depending on how early you sign up for the 5K or Kids 1/2-Mile Fun Run\, your race fees will be matched by the SMSC (100 percent of Early Bird Promo\, 75 percent of registrations from October 1–November 22\, and 10 percent of same-day registrations) in a donation to the CAP Agency\, Jordan Food Shelf and Belle Plaine Food Shelf to provide food assistance to our neighboring communities this holiday season.

Since 2016\, we’ve awarded $1.5 million in grants to Minnesota schools and nonprofits—impacting more than 100\,000 students and staff. Yet\, the need continues to grow. In 2024 alone\, over $5.7 million in requests for youth mental health programs went unfunded. \nYou can help bridge the gap. \nJoin us for the 12th Annual PrairieCare Fund Golf Tournament and be part of the solution.
