A couple hundred people gathered to celebrate the official opening of the new Lunds & Byerlys store in Apple Valley. Here are some highlights from the event.

- Brian Miller, the General Manager of the new store, is a 1982 graduate of Apple Valley High School, and he brought his letter jacket to prove it!

- In honor of its opening, the store gave $2,500 to the Eastview Community Foundation, $1,000 to 360 Communities and $1,000 to Last Hope Pet Rescue.

- R&R Cultivation has a small display case to demonstrate how the New Hope-based company grows a wide variety of mushrooms.

- The store includes two levels of outdoor and indoor seating.
