The annual Farm Babies exhibit includes a celebration of baby birds and books with Eagan author Heather Boschke.
Spring is a special time of year at the Minnesota Zoo thanks to the annual Farm Babies event, which invites visitors to meet cute newborn animals and participate in hands-on farm activities at the Wells Fargo Family Farm.
The exhibit includes the Farm Babies Book Walk, a self-guided trail that allows families to read along, page by page, while exploring the farmyard. This year’s book pick is Little Birdie Babies by author and illustrator Heather Boschke.

“I’m thrilled to be part of Farm Babies this year,” Boschke says. “Little Birdie Babies celebrates the magic of new beginnings, and sharing the book surrounded by real baby animals at the Zoo’s family farm makes it even more special.”
Boschke will also host two readings of the book, open to the public, at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on May 4 and May 10, followed by a coloring activity.
The Farm Babies exhibit is open during daily Zoo hours from April 26–My 18 For additional event details and ticket information, visit mnzoo.org.
