Step into a winter wonderland at Ritter Farm Park for an evening walk, or snowshoe, along the luminary trail. Hundreds of flickering candles will light the way, bring your own snowshoes or stroll on foot under the glow of the moon.
“It is so serene on the trail at night, it’s almost magical,” said Kacie Robinson, Lakeville parks and recreation program coordinator. Visitors will enjoy the tranquility of an evening stroll. After the hike, head to the Ed Mako Environmental Learning Center cabin for a complimentary cup of cocoa, the perfect end to a memorable night under the stars.
Registration is required in advance and the event is expected to reach full capacity. The trail will be flat-packed, but please note that strollers are not advised. Families with young children are encouraged to bring a sled for easy travel along the path and everyone is encouraged to dress in layers and wear appropriate footwear for an outdoor winter event.
