Mark Dobbelmann captures the rippled reflection of a sunset during an evening bike ride.
Mark Dobbelmann is a longtime photographer who seeks to highlight Minnesota’s beauty through his own unique lens. Dobbelmann, a resident of Eagan, often rides his e-assist bike along the trails near the Minnesota River to visit with passersby and capture perfect moments with his camera. The inspiration for this shot came as Dobbelmann was looking for a fresh perspective at the Old Cedar Avenue Bridge. “The picture needed something more,” Dobbelman says. “Everybody could take this picture of the bridge upright. Then, I went a little bit further and looked down, and there’s ripples and fish jumping and that’s what was gonna give it a different look.”
