Some people made sourdough during the pandemic. Eagan resident Jeff Roslund, co-founder of Dapper Barons Spirits, made batch after batch of liqueur, trying to remove the sugar while maintaining the sweetness and flavor that make liqueurs a critical component of many mixed drinks. Along with friend and business partner Ryan Boudreau, Roslund brought Dapper Barons Spirits to the market in late 2021, and its product line has slowly expanded to include low-sugar Peppermint Schnapps, Crème de Cacao, Coffee Liqueur, Triple Sec, Amaretto and a zero sugar ready-to-pour Espresso Martini. Makes 1 drink
- 1 oz. Dapper Barons Peppermint Schnapps
- 1 oz. Dapper Barons Crème de Cacao
- 2 oz. cream
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, and add all the ingredients. Shake vigorously and strain into short glass. Serve.
